Why Locals Love Baoz
Nestled within the vibrant Night Food Park of Tagbilaran City, Baoz brings an irresistible taste of Taiwanese street food with a flavorful Boholano twist. This cozy late-night haven has quickly become a go-to spot for food enthusiasts craving bold, satisfying flavors after hours. Specializing in inventive takes on classic bao and fried rice dishes, Baoz flawlessly balances rich, savory ingredients with fresh, vibrant accompaniments.
At the heart of Baoz’s menu is their celebrated Lechon Chao Fried Rice—an aromatic blend of tender mixed veggies, spring onions, and that unmistakably crispy lechon chicharrón, perfectly seasoned with their signature chao sauce. Each spoonful bursts with deep, smoky flavors that linger delightfully on the palate. Regulars like Em Em Tejano can attest to its addictiveness, eagerly returning for that perfect harmony of textures and taste. For those who crave a heartier bite, the Fried Lechon Bao, with its golden fried buns enveloping sumptuous lechon filling and drizzled with savory lechon sauce, offers a crispy, melt-in-your-mouth experience that’s nothing short of transcendent.
Complementing these favorites are innovative choices like the Chic Chao Fried Rice, pairing tender chicken BBQ with vibrant vegetables and a delectable special sauce, or the Fried Chic Bao, where sweet sauce and cucumber add a refreshing counterpoint to the savory chicken filling. Notably, their Bang Chao option, featuring bangus sisig, brings a unique local flavor that delights adventurous food lovers seeking familiar yet novel bites. Lexi B.’s praise for the “fried ones” and the tentativeness before trying the steamed styles captures the inviting feeling Baoz offers—comforting yet exciting for the palate.
The atmosphere at Baoz perfectly mirrors the energy of the bustling Night Food Park: lively yet clean, welcoming yet intimate. Customers like Mcdaryl Lleno appreciate the hygienic preparation area, organized workflow, and customer-centered touches such as thorough table cleanups and convenient cashless payment options like Maya and GCash. It’s apparent that Baoz cares not just about flavor, but also the overall dining experience, creating a friendly environment that makes each visit pleasurable and hassle-free.
Open until the early hours, Baoz is a sanctuary for night owls and culinary explorers alike. Whether you want to satisfy a late-night hunger pang or simply enjoy a moment of peace amid the city’s nighttime buzz, this little spot serves up hearty dishes that warm the soul and excite the taste buds. Baoz serves overloaded chaofan. Better than Chowking indeed! Observing how they prepare the meal, their workspace is organized and hygienic. The signages are clear and there's cashless payment options of Maya And GCash too! Always cleans up the tables after each customer leaves!

If you're looking for a delicious and affordable late-night snack at the night market, check out Baoz! They serve Taiwanese street food with a modern twist. I tried their Guo Bao with Bangus Sisig and Chicken BBQ combo, and it was fantastic – flavorful filling and a soft, fluffy bun. I also appreciate that they are open late. Highly recommend!

For someone who wants peace and quiet, that day was the perfect place to be. Open until 6am. As someone who loves trying something new to my taste buds?? Or just simply never been before resto/place, this one is so good. Fried ones are my favorite, the steamed one is really something new to me or us that day. Must try. Bangus ones are heaven.

i tried the Bang Bao (fried bread with bangus sisig) and it was really delicious and affordable. it’s a great place and atmosphere to unwind after a long day from school/work. though it’s just freshly opened (it was their opening night when i came), the owner is really passionate and charismatic. bet you can’t resist trying out Baoz.
